Product Overview ProgenNet was designed as system for Government, Utilities, Corporations, Trusts & Owners. It is built around a powerful yet flexible database. Linked into this database is a comprehensive accounting system - full Debtors, Creditors and General Ledger. At the back end is a powerful warehouse to consolidate data, and extensive use of Crystal Reports, for high quality reporting. It is an ideal, all-round solution for someone looking for a comprehensive property management system that handles both current needs, yet allows the scope and capability to meet future requirements.
At the heart of ProgenNet is a comprehensive database - of properties, tenants and leases. ProgenNet is designed with unique in-depth property functionality, including 8 levels of property hierarchy. So land, buildings, and even difficult-to-handle areas like annexes or car parks are easily managed. The 8 levels can be linked in many ways. Central to this database are comprehensive diaries for leases; that provide advance warning of key dates to property managers.
A problem with older systems is that to add extra data is difficult. It involves going back to the programmer for expensive work. With ProgenNet, unlimited new fields, and even unlimited new screens, can be added by users. It is a job end users can do, without cost. It is simple to learn. In the diagram on the right, new fields for a particular screen are being defined - on the spot by an end user. One day all systems will be like this.
P-Tools ®, developed by Progenesis, consists of 10 modules. These basically cover links to email, messaging, Office, task and activity management, documents, reports, queries. They allow the property manager and property accounts people have everything at their fingertips, instead of having to waste time and energy manually 'linking' with other people in the office and outside the office. This leading edge functionality is a key to boosting productivity in the office today.
ProgenNet has both Lessee and Lessor functionality built into the system, handling situations where the user is an owner, or a manager, or a tenant. Complex lease arrangements are handled with ease, via a combination of tenant and landlord leases. Many large organizations lease, then 'on-charge' the lease costs to their tenants that use these leased premises. Powerful and automatic or manual 'on-charging' facilities are available, resulting in big time-saving and productivity gains.
ProgenNet
has a powerful Navigator utility that allows users to search for data
- whether particular leases, or groups of leases, or addresses. The list
is endless. Every screen has a 'pop up' search screen to help you locate
IDs and names. Nothing is hard to find. ProgenNet also utilizes a powerful Data Warehouse that summarizes financial data either on-the-fly, or through a batch process. This means the latest compiled figures can be made available at any time, either to the reporting engine, or to a myriad of external interfaces (eg. Oracle Financials, SAP, Cougar). Ability to interface to external products - for instance other corporate or organization-wide accounting systems, is also available. Each interface may need some tailoring, but a generic interface utility called Systems Link does most of the work.
Crystal Reports is the chosen reporting tool for ProgenNet; it is the industry standard reporting product. The package comes with dozens of pre-designed reports that cover just about every financial and property management aspect. Take advantage of the simple architecture to design and add your own reports to the system.
